Cross definitely wasn't Nicole in the original, Nicole was 100% a hallucination. Her being an actual person that Isaac sees as Nicole makes so much more sense, since a hallucination wouldn't be able to operate systems.

22:50 mad respect to the team for redoing Hammonds death. They managed to give it purpose and meaning to some extent which is awesome. Also I love how Chen is just a reoccurring menace for Hammond and Kendra. It seems to back up the theory in Dead Space two and three that there is some semblance of self in the Necros even if it’s twisted. This game was beautifully redone.

"It looks like he is about to teach me algebra" Jack, he is an engineer. He could teach you algebra in his sleep. We don't all look like that, but as an engineer, we can all kind of do that math and still be unconscious.

2:28:06 Isaac saying that line is so damn badass. The fact this man been through so much just trying to do his job, losing everything and everyone he came with all within a single day. And rn issac feels nothing but rage, he doesn’t care if he’ll die. But he’ll try his hardest to go down swinging

Little side note, but I like how Issac even after all that happened, he still tried to save Daniels.

Kendra was the computer specialist and Isaac recieved the message from Nicole on route to the Ishimura. Kendra intercepted the message first and cut the ending so Isaac wouldn't know Nicole was dead. She also knew what the Marker would do once they were on the ship, so when Isaac started talking about Nicole, Kendra played along. She needed Isaac to help her get the Marker, so she used him the entire time. It was only at the end, when Isaac was working against her and seeing Cross as Nicole, that Kendra decided to reach out to him by showing him the whole message. Isaac didn't blank out the end of the message. He never knew to begin with.

Hopefully when Sean plays this on his own, he'll notice the hand and foot print marks in some rooms. If you melee and stomp in the pattern it shows, it unlocks little things there. Like text logs and stuff.

Engineers are so capable in this universe. Issac can do everything from rewiring antennas to removing/reinstalling reactor cores between different ships. I wish my engineering undergrad made me half as capable as some of the things I've seen him do without a second thought.

3 minutes in and Sean has given Isaac the best advice he'll ever be given "pack it in, go outside take the helmet off and let it all be over with". Charisma 100 my good lad

I love Isaac's soft, emotional lines. You wouldn't expect a character like that to have lines with those kinds of emotions. It makes him human.

I like how Mimir finally showed up in this game when he put on the new suit. Was worried our sassy head wouldn't show up!

Just realized at the start when the Valor crashed into the ship, Isaac muttered "Nicole, I--" Wonder if he thought he was gonna get killed in that explosion.

I was completing a first aid course yesterday, and I had to control myself from laughing in the middle of it, when one of the instructors was doing a demonstration and he was like, "Sir? Sir! Are you okay?" And I was just picturing Sean saying, "Sir! Sir!" Stomps

Honestly, the changes to Isaac's face and his added active personality were SO cool to me! There's something even more horrifying about the protagonist being literally just a totally normal guy you'd see at the local shop. Like, no grizzled veteran, traditional hero face. Just, this poor dude Isaac who had to do so damn much more than anyone should ever have to stomach even half of. Makes it uncomfortably more realistic 😅
