  • Have pretty much eaten at least 2 eggs every morning since I’ve been an adult. I am now 76. When I was 22, I started working in a cardiac cath lab and became very aware of all the low fat, high carb recommendations being touted back then. Somehow, it both made sense to me - and didn’t. Both sides of my family were farmers. They ate a lot of eggs and meat, drank milk fresh from the cow and had vegetables from the garden. Yes, they also ate bread to soak up the juices from the meat and fried eggs. Fats were bacon grease and butter. I’ve made a graph of these people - chiefly my grandparents and their offspring. Those that stayed longest on the farm and were least affected by the depression and world wars, lived well into their 90’s. Those that moved into the city and were more affected by environmental issues, the depression, war, personal vices like smoking or alcohol abuse … had shorter lifespans, alcohol abuse taking my uncle at age 60. If eggs, and even high cholesterol, are so bad for you, why were there so many examples, 18 of 30 in my family alone, healthy and happy to such great ages? Genes? I doubt it as others who were from the same stock but who had more adverse exposures and lifestyles, as it were, succumbed to various diseases at least a decade younger. As for me, I’ve decided to keep to my farm-based ancestors way of eating and barring any extreme affects of my environment, hope to set a new record for family longevity, which currently stands at 102 years. 😉

Eggs are an AMAZING healthy food. My husband went for his blood work recently. I feed him a 2 to 3 egg omelets every single morning (14-21 eggs a week). We have our own chickens and they free range plus I supplement them with very healthy vegetables every single day. His "good" cholesterol (HDL) went way up and his "bad" cholesterol (LDL) went way down and the doctors were amazed! He is 68 years old and on zero medication.

People are confused about eggs yet don't hesitate to eat all kinds of junk food and sugary drinks. I love eggs so much I can't go a day without eating at least four.
  • @Obligatory_mime
As a carnivore I eat only meat and eggs....... and ive never felt better in my life!! Sten is one of the only doctors around that advocate for REAL science in the diet

Beef, Butter, Bacon and Eggs lost over 70lbs and dropped my A1C from 9 to 5.0!!!

i remember in the 1970.s , it was understood to not eat lots of eggs, because of cholesterol. food companies were trying to get people to eat more sugar.
  • @anthilz
My motto is whatever the government deems as unhealthy is actually healthy and vice versa. Stay away from preservatives, msg, nitrates, etc.
  • @jayrovers
I eat 4 eggs each day with few exceptions..... I think it's just simply healthy eating
  • @bobsauler
I eat four boiled eggs per day and fortunately I’m living in the central highlands of Vietnam where the chickens freely walk around the villages where they’re raised. The eggs are brown, rich in nutrition and taste amazing, but only cost about $1 for 10 fresh eggs. 😊
  • I take absolutely zero advice on nutrition from my doctors. They ALL still advocate a low fat high fibre diet. They also vehemently advise us to use vegetable oils to help avoid heart attack and stroke!!

On the topic of eggs. My wrists were extremely burned when a rad cap blew off. My engineer put egg whites directly on the burn after first aid was applied. The egg white took the searing pain away as long as the egg white was on the burn and there was absolutely no scaring. Hope this helps someone.
  • Due to ulcerative colitis, I've been on a carnivore/eggs/light dairy diet for about 4 years. At 39, I'm in better shape than I have been since I was in my early 20's. I went from 9-12 meds - average 20 pills a day - to 0 on this diet. ZERO. Part of this diet has been 3-4 eggs for breakfast each day (mix of duck and chicken) with ground beef.
  • I have been eating tenish eggs a day for a decade now. I have never felt more energetic. I haven't fallen ill at all during those years.
  • @MAGNUM2F
Ancel keys is responsible for so much pain and suffering.
  • @bouffon1
My great-grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and for the rest of her life (12 years) went on a diet of eggs and red wine. She was sprightly to the end and quite flirtatious.
  • I eat 3 scrambled eggs every morning, and I use grass fed Irish butter with some olives as snacks 🫒 And I'm not hungry for the next 8-10 hours ❤
