Slum lords don't like being exposed
-
When you make valid complaints they will evict you.
-
If these apartment complexes don't want negative reviews or feedback, they need to clean them up and fix the issues, simple as that. Rent costs way too much everywhere to deal with all the issues at apartments.
-
Reprisal laws are pretty harsh. I wish he would sue them. He would win.
-
His complaints seem valid when looking at the images he shared !!!
-
The landlord messed up by giving him a reason for non-renewal. No reason needs to be given.
-
Trust me, he's paying more than enough rent to have hardly any issues. Channelside apartments are in the 3000$ plus range a month.
-
The Sumlord is not being held accountable.
-
To the people saying "just leave," maybe he just wanted to fix the place to make it better for him and all residents.
-
Well. No one will ever rent at that place. ❤Thanks for the heads up ❤

If you want to tell the truth about your landlord/apt building, use an alias.
-
Homeboy doesn't need the headache. Just move on.
-
In other words, the land lord, or manager, is ignoring their responsibility for building maintenance and if people complain, they can be kicked out!! It's freedom, but freedom for who! Freedom of speech, but freedom of speech for who? The apartment manager has free speech, but the renters do not!! It's the real America!!

It’s a 2-way street. At the end of your contract, you have the option to renew or move out. The landlord has the same options.
-
All rentals should have a tenant complaint page run by tenants! Please start a movement on this!
-
He has a right to be critical, and they have a right to non-renew the lease.
-
Word to the wise, this happens to far more people than you realize. Be very careful about posting about your corporate landlord while you still live there. Not saying don't do it, but just weigh your individual costs and benefits.
-
Geez, how much power do these landlords have? If I were him, I’d happily leave. I wouldn’t give another cent of my money to that place.
-
Hon, you did your job. As a resident, you did exactly what you were supposed to do. Care about where you live! But that's okay, they are going to get theirs.

Landlords have too much power. They negatively impact renters lives and don't care. It's a terrible business practice. I'm glad he went to the news. Slumlords have too much power.
