My wee Scots mum would have had great tears in her eyes......she was a Balneaves, sept of the clan Murray of Athol.....the only private army in the UK by royal decree......I was named Scott to forever remind me of my Scots heritage.....!

When I served in the British Army in the 70s I had the pleasure and pride to serve alongside two Scots. Two finest men you could ever wish to meet, they had my back and I had theirs. I was born in England but my heart belongs to Scotland. God bless you all.

Love the pageantry that the Scots put into these parades, have always loved the sounds of the pipes and drums.  Veteran,  Viet Nam Era & 1st Gulf War.
  • At 05:15, "Thank You" Oh no, Thank YOU! For uploading this! As a United States born citizen, of African extraction, I was amazed and very touched, to see Black Men proudly serving in a Scottish Regiment! Makes me wish I was Forty Years younger! With two good legs to walk with!
  • Never has Scotland the Brave made me cry before! But I know that no matter how much it moves me (as a Canadian) to hear it, it means something very special for everyone in this video when they hear it. A very proud moment captured here, in a long proud & illustrious history of the Scots people. Alba gu bràth!
  • I'm an old POS VIETNAM VET ! But to this day every time i hear those pipes i miss my scott brothers that died in that war. Sorry i cant text due to the tears coming out my eyes and my soul hurts for them. Lord bless them not me but them . SEMPER FI !
  • I didn't think I liked the sound of pipes - but I love them, when Scots play with such emotion and heart. And the precise marching, they look like 1 long caterpillar wending down the street! So handsome, and tough. Welcome to your home! From US.
  • Let's not turn to hate! We Scots, Welsh, Northern Irish joined with the Engish to defeat the Naxisl let us stick together! God bless all true Irish, Welsh Scots and Engish. The Lord bless and keep you, the Lord lift up His Coutenence apon you and you peace! ☺ ))))))

My grandfather was a Royal Scots Fusilier....died in 1973....he'd have been proud to see this...
  • Great video, I love watching these homecoming parades, great to see the older veterans proudly marching along as well

This is how you should welcome brave soldiers home with pride, passion and respect. I'm English and it makes my blood boil that protesters are allowed to call the defenders of this country murderers and baby killers on their return home. This was a joy to watch and England sort your priorities out.
