I was in attendance for this game, I've never seen so few OSU fans for this game, I've never heard the stadium louder, I think the idea of the big house being quiet has completely flipped. That atmosphere was electric and intimidating. The new press boxes and much bigger video boards are holding in tons of noise. That place was rocking.
  • A thought on Ryan day; one of the many reasons that so much weight is put on the Michigan game and he's getting so much criticism is its the one game on their schedule that they don't have a MASSIVE talent advantage. You don't have to be a good coach to beat Michigan st or Minnesota with that roster. The measure of a coach is what happens when the talent is fairly equal. And in those games his record is unimpressive

The way the Michigan team rallied around each other after the Zinter injury is not being talked about enough. Momentum was swinging to Ohio State around then, but Zinter went down and the team went berzerk.

As a ND fan, a defensive back intercepting a pass to shut down Ohio State's last drive was such a mix of gladness for them and what could have been for us. Almost the same look as our DB missing an interception earlier in the year. Oof
  • No Head Coach…. Lost your best Offensive Lineman. Lost your best Corner Back. Ryan Day just got punked by a coach who was assuming 3 roles as Offensive Line Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Head Coach.

I am thankful to Jesus that I was able to attend that game. That was my first ever time going to a Michigan game. It was SO LOUD. Go Blue baby.〽️〽️〽️
  • It was a great game. I'm a Buckeye fan so it was tough to take another loss to Michigan. That said, Michigan has been the better team the last 3 years. I am old enough to have experienced the pendulum swing one way and the other over the decades. It happens. OSU had a tremendous run against UM from 2000 to 2019, winning 17 times in that period. Tressel went 9-1 vs UM. Luke Fickel lost in his interim year. Then Urban went 7-0 vs UM. The Ryan Day won his first game in 2019. Ryan would have won the game in 2020 but it was cancelled due to Covid. But credit Michigan for being patient with Harbaugh and now he has won the last 3. Harbaugh is now 3-5 vs OSU but these last 3 years have been impressive because UM also has one of the better teams in the country. So now we will see how Ohio State responds. All that said the Buckeyes played well and it was not a blowout like last year. The difference in this game was QB play. OSU had an inexperienced first-year guy and UM had a good veteran. Congrat to my Michigan friends. I hope we get you next year. As for Ryan Day being fired that is nothing more than OSU fans letting the rivalry get to them. Yes, it's a big deal but you don't just go fire a coach who is 56-7 in his 5 years of coaching. Unless you know for fact that you can bring back Urban I'm not sure getting rid of Ryan Day solves any issues.

Buckeye fan here and I was hesitant to click on this video, but you deliver such a balanced, rational analysis. Thanks for helping me in my recovery 😂
  • Last pass that was intercepted was a 50/50 ball Harrison saw it would be a big contact play and pulled up. Can't believe no one's talking about it
  • Blake is a Michigan legend. As a Michigan fan, 1 I hate but respect that OSU team. Don’t like Day but I believe he talked to Zinters parents. That was classy. 2 I am conflicted at the scandals. Because these kids are just that good, driven and focused. That last part is what I celebrate.

In Regards to Ryan Day, I need to bring this up for Ohio State and Michigan Fans Sake: What we're asking about him now is the EXACT SAME Question we were asking about Jim Harbough 3 Years Ago. What's different now is that the Roles have been Reversed, and now we're going to see if Ohio State is as patient with Ryan Day as Michigan was with Jim Harbough. And to me, that will Speak VOLUMES about Ohio State compared to Michigan Now. It was a Great Game, No Question about it, but now the question shifts to what Ohio State does now. AND ALL EYES ARE WATCHING.
  • @dragonboy141
That pick early on was the difference. Can’t make that kinda mistake in a rivalry game on the road. Especially when you don’t have a special QB who can make up for that kind of mistake
  • People also wanted Harbaugh out. I said the same thing you are saying about Day. Harbaugh needs to stay. A lot of fans go off of emotion not logic. Day is a good coach. Good luck finding someone better.

In 2021, Michigan beat Ohio State because of physicality and efficiency. The Wolverines dominated the Buckeyes on both lines of scrimmage and moved the ball up and down the field with rampant efficiency through both the run and passing game. In 2022, Michigan beat Ohio State because of explosive plays. Michigan forced Ohio State to meticulously drive the ball down the field with consistency while generating 5 plays of 40+ yards themselves. While the last 2 seasons felt like Michigan taking advantage of a matchup and winning through that aspect (lines of scrimmage in 2021 and secondary in 2022), this felt different. Michigan beat Ohio State by just straight up being the better team. The Wolverines stayed on schedule offensively more effectively and even for as well played the game generally was, Michigan always both responded and/or stayed a step or two ahead. Their quarterback didn’t make mistakes, their run game stepped up more, and their defense got crucial stops and turnovers. Josh nailed it, Michigan’s entire operation is just a little ahead of Ohio State’s right now, and this team is absolutely capable of winning a national championship. They’ve been the most consistently dominant team all season and should probably be #1 in the playoff rankings tomorrow, and I say that as a Georgia fan.

I was there in 1995 Biaccabatu got 303 and UM knocked OSU out of the BCS.

As a Michigan fan and HS coach this was a great commentary. Ryan Day has to what Jimmy was forced to do define the Identity of his team, and live or die by that culture. My undefeated teams required me to chew on the loss for months like dry beef jerky.🤨 Great coaches hate to loose more than the love to win.
