  • The only real thing I miss about this game was how the caves genuinely felt terrifying to go through.

Watching this brings back memories. While i love sons of the forest, it can never beat the feeling of the unkown that I experienced first booting up the forest.
  • I miss the fear from the first forest, now they come to you no matter where you are, no sense in hiding in Sons.

SoTF made building more realistic. There was a lot of freedom in the original, but it also caused a lot of exploits and game breaks. Maybe eventually they will give back the option of blueprint building.

Oh god the nostalgia! That feeling when you come back to a game you've played and all your stuff and buildings are right where you left hem.
  • @wswan81
I miss Farket in The Forest, he was a much happier man 🤣🤣
  • Ah, Season 5. I've watched that playlist at least 20 times, just good background noise to sleep to. Instantly recognized it when the video started, such an iconic build-
  • This game will always hold a dear place in my heart. Just the atmosphere felt more thrilling in it

6:38 A smart way endnight can add animals to Sons of the forest that would make sense is if the billionares brought in exotic animals into the the island like bears wolfs croces and even a tiger

Most will probably disagree with me but... I prefer the old inventory over the new one. The animations are cool and all but when I am trying to do things in a hurry or make bombs in a hurry I just like the old inventory where everything was instant, also not having to pan around is so nice.
  • Best part was having non-square bases. Trying to do any triangles or octagonal or hexagonal or whatever in sotf takes far too long to be worth it. Would love even just the platform blueprint then shoving walls manually on top
  • Me and my mom play this game together. It’s thanks to you that we don’t die all the time! We’ve been watching you for years, thanks for helping us through all the ups and downs of The Forest.
  • I went to my old savefile last month too. My save is basically an empire. 5 big bases on the four ends of the map and one in the center. Every pond with fish has a treehouse with a dry rack and water collector and a bonfire and bed. Everything connected by rock roads and lights to guidepost at night. Without the map i can tell exactly where i am and get to food or safety. 3 trap filled forests to play with the enemy and huge graveyards replete with effigies all over the place. The fps cant handle that beastly empire ive created in 500 hours of gameplay.

I was literally thinking last video how cool it would be if you went in the Forest for a bit and now this video drops. Amazing
  • Man I miss the house boat. I loved what you could do with them. Hope they give us a couple of boathouse with motors.
  • @BlazingKomet
Man, so nostalgic hearing the outro music with the first game. Love the trip down memory lane
  • @its_kaycakes
Yes! I have recently revisited with 3 friends and it was brillant.
  • Totally nostalgic! I have watched every single video you have made of the original and most of your Sons ones, keep it up man
