  • Good job on getting off of them and doing it safely!! ❤ Benzos are a hard one to kick. After taking them for an extended period of time you aren’t even taking them to relieve anxiety but just to feel “well”. I was on them for 2.5 years and the withdrawals were hell.. I’m just glad to not be on it anymore. I didn’t really think about the rebound anxiety and having to relearn to cope with things after quitting and that’s been hard for me.

Hi Nigella! Pills are never the answer! So glad you chose to manage stress in other ways. 😊

Thank you Lori, well done. The withdrawals are terrible with these drugs. I learned the hard way myself.

Lori, I can relate to this. I was on this for years, and fortunately I got off it pretty easily. I am happy you were able to get off of this. I am happy that I got off of this, I learned that another mom that I knew accidentally overdosed and that was horrible. I also only took 0.25 once a day. This did help me for a long time and then one doctor visit they looked at my chart and said to try something else for sleep and it worked. Have a nice evening 🤗😘

Good to hear! Painkillers and anything that can ease suffering in any sort of way are totally habit forming and addictive. Seems the doctors these days don't even think about the repercussions of a stroke of the pen anymore and the pharmaceuticals are so damn powerful now. You're lucky your doctor worked with you to get off it. There was a story up here about a husband & wife who were medical professionals / nurses. They got into a really bad car accident and needed pain killers that were so addictive that they eventually both did robberies to keep up after their rehabilitation was done. Sad stuff. Again, glad you are off it. Couldn't help but chuckle when your nose was itching, dark humor and all regarding the behaviour of some tweakers/coke addicts lol. :)

Was this your first panic attack and the first bout of anxiety you experienced?Did you ever feel anxiety in the past? That is very scary that it could happen like that so suddenly out of no where!? I’m so happy you found peace.🙏🏼

In the UK Xanax has been banned due to be considered dangerous and addiction forming 😯 So glad you have managed to get off of such dangerous drug.

And the doctor didn't mention coming off would be so hard.
