Some of the best Space marine Chapters aren't the most well known, no one exemplifies this more than the Crimson Fists

Always enjoyed the theory, Templars are the embodiment of Dorns rage, Crimson Fists are his humanity

Also the crimson fists have the best quote in 40k:

"You've lost an arm, Alessio! By the mercy of the Emperor, you're lucky not losing your life as well! -- I haven't lost my arm, brother! It's right over there! I'm still in this! I'm fine!" - an exchange between captain Alessio and Pedro Kantor.

Rynn's World is a great read. Pedro Kantor carrying the mother when she can't walk any further is one of the most wholesome 40k moments
  • Funny how rogal, one of the few primarch who hated the codex and didn’t want his legion to separate, Has the most popular successor chapters.
  • I remember that, in an older Space Marine Codex, it was told, that it wasn't imperial reinforcements, but Craft World Eldar that stopped the Waaagh! on Rynn's world, because of some prophecy that saving them will help the Aeldari or something, but I guess that had been retconned.

The Fists are legit bros. I always appreciated that their story involved straight up bad luck. That happens in war; shit just goes south sometimes. What matters is how you pick up afterward!

Me: Man I love the Crimson Fists, I wish Majorkill had a video.

    Majorkill: G’day Guys and Gals!
  • @SirAtrox
I hope Pedro Kantor will get more of the spotlight in upcoming stories.
  • @InquisitorBot
im saddend you didnt mention Rynn's Might the land raider that went on to kill a ton of orks by itself without a crew
  • @ninjasamwallin
The imperial fists are imo the coolest loyalist legion and also spawned the coolest successor chapters like the black templar and crimson fists.
  • @NornQueenKya
Crimson fists: when you want to paint ultramarines but you want cool lore to go with your paint scheme. That and you REALLY hate orks.

Let’s be honest, the Crimson Fist were peoples first introduction to 40k and Astartes in general by gracing the cover of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, also the first box set of plastic marines were cast in a pseudo navy blue with the CF on the cover of the box….the example scenario was The CF lead by Pedro Cantor against Throgg Bullneck and his ork raiders (which was also available, but in cast pewter)….just a bit of info from an old guy that remembers 40k when it was first advertised in the US in Dragon magazine

7:30 My head cannon for explaining this is the Warboss Snagrod sent in ork kommandos so that the Crimson Fist's defense weapons would target their own ships, leaving them open for an attack. Hard to believe? Well, Warboss Snagrod was known for using ork kommandos before invading an imperial world, for example killing off the astropaths on a world so they can't call for help. Warboss Snagrod was a really kunning ork.

That's my reasoning for this random event happening.

Thank you for giving the Crimson Fists attention. OG poster boys deserve more love than they've been getting.
  • @NemFX
The Crimson Fists were actually because of an Imperial Fist named Kye, who in defiance of Dorn bit open his hand to make it bleed. It was some sort of gang thing from his world. Dorn respected his defiance, and that Kye was basically his unofficial bodyguard. It's all in the book Praetorian of Dorn. Kye would have been chapter master, but he died, so Dorn made the Crimson Fists be the shield, to the Black Templars sword. If you want another good book, Battle for Rynn's World is the one to go to for Crimson Fists.

Polux has always been one of my favorite Imperial Fist characters. I mean, Polux has the one honor that even Dorn could not claim: Polux befriended an Iron Warrior (loyalist, but still counts), Barnabas Dantioch. While Dorn and Perturabo will get at each other's throats, Polux and Dantioch dropped their rivalry to combat the traitor Night Lords who had their eyes on the Pharos Lighthouse. Sadly, Dantioch would not survive the aftermath of the battle, and Polux would be the lone pallbearer at the loyalist Iron Warrior's funeral.
  • "Vulcan reappeared then died again" - had me spit my drink😂

Edit: When fighting the Orks do note that COLORS will have varying effects...
    Blue is SuPah lUcKy.
    And Red is FaStaH.

The part where Chadro Brodor picked up and carried the mom and her kids was a super wholesome moment
  • @Quintus_Fontane
If I recall correctly, the Crimson Fists were the first space marine 'chapter' GW did. All the earliest space marine artwork is of them. So... technically, in a way, you could say the Ultrabois copied them, just less interesting with no excuse.
