He was part man, part machine, and the harbinger of a terrible fate for all of mankind. Can he undo the future and give us another chance?

Episode Notes:

1. Captured via the Mega SG.

2. The Sega CD was not the only version that got scrapped. An NES version was in the works as well, but never was released.

3. The credits are listed as follows:
Director of Music & FX: Tommy Tallarico
Music By: Mark Miller
Samples By: Steve Henifin

Which makes me wonder just how much Tommy T had to do with this.

4. The Japanese release of this has original artwork from the comic on the cover. It's also expensive as hell.

5. I have never beaten this game on normal without cheats. I can get to the last stage with a continue or two left, but I get wrecked making my way to the final boss battle. The last few stages of this game are nasty.

6. The SNES version is 8 megs while the Genesis version is 16 megs. It was pretty clear the Sega release was the lead platform.

7. I still keep hoping someone finds a near finished Sega CD release of this and gets it to the fans.

  • Hearing Robocop say, "You're terminated" is one of my favourite things

This game is really fantastic on the Sega Genesis, it's one of my favorite Genesis games of all time.
  • Yup. This will be a good one. You're absolutely killing it lately man! The variety, video length, game choices... Amazing stuff dawg!

I literally picked this game up 2 hours ago... searched for a review and you delivered
  • One of my fave games from the era, and the first one I bought when I got another Megadrive a few years ago.
  • I own that game. The SNES version is okay, but I prefer the Genesis version.
  • This game is been a curiosity for a while but I’m definitely gonna pick one up now.Your recommendations have never let me down!

This video did pretty well, would you ever consider following it up with a Master System Vs NES review of Robocop Vs. Terminator?
  • This is one of the best retro gaming channels on youtube right now. The quality and frequency of the videos are perfect.

Do the 7-up Cool Spot games!! Virgin games also did that one, and I remember having a blast with it.

This was the second Genesis game I played right after my dad bought me the system (the first being Sonic 2 pack in game). I went to the video store and decided to rent this game and needless to say me and my brother were absolutely floored by it. This was my first next gen leap experience lol. This was no NES. The Genesis was amazing.
  • I know people have said the Genesis sound chip was hard to work with but this game man... This game... I am 44 and that sh-- is still stuck in my head. Absolutely mind blowing work.
  • @TheBeird
    - “Dead or alive, you’re coming with me” - “Faak yu azzhool!” Great films, great game

one of the best shooters/platformers on the Genesis. Easily a great game.
  • I've never played this one but things I find weird about it include: RoboCop dashing 100mph along zip wires, RoboCop jumping around and hanging onto scenery like an acrobat and those wavy shot patterns. As basic as the first Data East arcade game was at least RoboCop had some sense of weight.
  • Great vid man, you just keep them coming! This was one of my favorite games growing up. Hope all is well.
  • One of my favorites for the Genesis, could never beat it without cheats lol
