Vitamin B1 is also good to wipe out Restless Leg Syndrome. It works!
  • 1st sign of vitamin B1 defeciency, I noticed is constipation. Instead of laxative, I started eating brown rice which contain B1.
  • @bogipepper
As a 66 year old beer drinker I see many of my physical complaints as being self inflicted. Thank you.

Basically if you are having unexplained pain, are Hormonal , having memory and cognitive problems, having blood sugar problems, vision problems, MS, Heart problems, emotional problems, Fibromyalgia, Chronic fungal, viral or Bacterial infections. TTFD and Magnesium along with no, to extremely low, carbs will make your whole life better. Beri Beri symptoms are either ignored or not recognized by modern docs. I had to find this myself after 35 years of misery. Pisses me off.

Great video Dr Been, I have been studying beri beri and high calorie malnutrition lately. EO Nutrition is a good channel too on thiamine.

For Dr. Syed and anyone else living with wildfire smoke -- Do you know how to make a box fan filter? Use a little duct tape to attach a smoke-rated furnace filter (20x20x1 inch, about $18 at hardware store, will last at least a few weeks to a few months) to the back of the box fan ($20 at hardware store), making sure the air flow arrow on the side of the filter points into the fan. Run on high to rapidly clear smoke then run on low constantly. If you have a large house, you may want more than one of these filters. Once a day when the smoke is lighter (maybe during the night), let fresh air in from outside for "oxygen replacement" -- one way to do this is to put your filter in an open window to blow air in, and open a window at the far end of the house to let the old air out. These filters are lung-savers! Super-simple to make and affordable, and amazingly effective.

Thank you for this wonderfully illustrated talk that I only found by accident.
  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Syed. I'm taking B12 and a good multivitamin complex, and plan to immediately increase my B1 as a long hauler who is slowly improving. I am concerned about you and your family living in the smoke. We "CoolBeens" love you and treasure you. Your medical lectures are priceless. ❤
  • @Duranie9
As someone several autoimmune illnesses I really appreciate your valuable advice Dr Syed.
  • So.. last year, being an alcoholic and remembering in the back of my mind that my doctor prescribed one of the B vitamins.. I couldn't remember which one and I was getting really fatigued and could not do much without getting very tired. I therefore started taking high dose thiamine Vitamin B2 4 times a day along with B12 and I became very strong and fit and was able to start getting in shape finally. Thiamine B2 plus B12 are a powerhouse but you need high regular doses.

Wonderful piece today, Doc. Yes, please have Dr. Marik back on as soon as you can. The last show with him was my favorite show so far among many stellar videos you have done. They routinely give thiamine to alcoholics who are trying to recover, no? I hope the smoke goes away soon. In Oregon, things are also very, very bad. The sky is a weird yellowish color. Lots of property loss and loss of life. Blessings.
  • Thank you Drbeen. This is more good news about available treatments for this issue.
  • @LeahStorm
Brilliant. Love the explanation with illustrations. Very helpful.
  • @sbrazwell42
Thank you for showing us real news for help..i wish i could have been in a study such as this.. This actually works for vertigo..i use it with msm and vit c and niacin..these i added with my regular multiple vitamines....along with d3 and k for my thyroid. I have over active thyroid..mild depression and vertigo.. These very inexpensive additions have made my life turn around...i was afraid to drive very far from home..only to work.. Pharma did not address my problems..made it worse because the meds make you very drowsy and have no healing..only mask the real problems..i am greatful for these studies.. I learned of these things from study in animals from vet...some how we are having same issues.. I doesnt take long for these things to help..and you can still use minor meds as you go on this journey..its a blessing..
  • @JYAN2852
Tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide is what I have been using along with magnesium complex (threonate/glycinate/malate/taurate) to treat dry beriberi and T2 diabetes & hypertension. It's worked wonders
  • Prescription doses of vitamin D from the onset also radically reduces mortality (down to 3%), but doctors remind me of those World war I Generals who were fighting with 1800 techniques and had no idea of how to extract themselves from trench warfare.
  • @Itsme-jv4cd
