Lion on an imperial world to reveal himself to the Imperium: "Greetings citizens, I am Lion El Jonson and I would like to know just what the hell is going o... IS THAT A FUCKING CHURCH?!"
  • @REDRAGON12345
Dante seems to have met most of the big players in the current lore (Silent King, Guilliman, the Lion, the Swarm Lord, and possibly even Sanguinius). Dante really is one of the most important figures for humanity

It is now required that Dante has to greet each returned Primarch

Dante: You're so old lion Lion: look who's fucking talking
  • @akumaking1
Lion: pissed off at the mask of Sanguinius Dante: “Oh wow; I think I know how the Silent King felt”

Part of the Lion thinking about how much good he can do with 60 Marines proves how much a commander he is.

I like that both Guilliman and the Lion acknowledge the age of Dante and can see the weight of that in his eyes. I understand that they were in stasis for millennia, but they are only-what? 400-500 years old physically from the crusades and heresy. It really shows their good character when they can say, "This man has fought, lived and suffered for longer than us and will be seen as an equal."
  • "i am not alone" i am SO SO HAPPY hearing lion and rowboat are gonna be happy to see each other. The fact the book says flat out "i'm not gonna be drawn into a civil war" putting that to rest prety much certainly. They're both so tired and with so much shit on their shoulders. I just want them to hug man.

I feel like it's poetic that Roboute Guilliman, Lion El'Jonson, and the greatest son of Sanguinius are effectively the only individuals in the entire Imperium that are capable of leading and saving the Imperium, just like 10k years ago when they also tried saving the Imperium in the form of the Imperium Secundus
  • @KurtzeTube
The Lion instantly reclngnozong his brother’s face out of a milennia old battle mask speaks LEAGUES about the craftsmanship of the sculptor… 😂

Commander Dante is over 1500 years old and has served as Chapter Master for over 1100 years. He is the oldest living loyal space marine in the imperium, that isn't entombed into a dreadnaught. He's also Lord Regent of the Imperium Nihilus. Making Dante the effective ruler of the half of the Imperium cut off from Terra on the other side of the Great Rift. He may not be a Primarch, but seen more of the galaxies darkness than anyone else. If only The Lion truly knew who was standing in front of him.

GWS:"Dante's hair is pitch black and..." me:"Goddamit, Black Library writers, pick a colour."

The way he read "robute, i am not alone" Full of relief and happiness. From a voice that was filled with tiredness breaking into hope. That he does not have to fight alone. That there is yet one out there that will understand him.

When the Lion said "Wait!" And asked who of his brothers was still alive it sent shivers down my spine.
  • @mranderson718
I love that we speculated for months on whether the Lion and Guilliman would square up and start a civil war and the Lion’s first reaction to one of his least favorite brothers being alive is “oh thank god”
  • @XArctracerX
I bet the Lions first thought hearing Guilliman was back, was him going "Yes! I can reason with that one, thank god it wasn't Russ"
  • @shawnradcliffe3514
I love the fact that Lion isnt enraged to hear of Gullimans resurrections and defacto running of whats left of the Imperium. He is genuinely happy, despite their past relationship. "I am not alone." hits hard here. Its the revelation that he at least still has one of his brothers has to be the best news he's gotten recently, even if it is the guy who came up with Imperium Secondus, an idea that Lion was. . . less than thrilled about at the time.
  • @WhereIsJaune
God, the guilt and sadness that both Guilliman and Lion felt when they woke up to see what has happened, to know and think that they are the last sons alive hits hard. Hopefully we see a heartfelt reunion between the two. All wrongs of the past, their grudges, be laid to rest in the name of brotherhood and familial bond.
