It's frustrating when playing through our latest Worst Game Ever to know that other excellent video concepts were unduly cancelled, left in development hell or, worse still, apparently finished but unreleased. From Silent Hills to Prey, here are 10 Cancelled Video Games That Never Saw Release.

Guillermo del Toro is one of those people who’s becoming better known for projects he hasn’t been able to realize than ones he has. In addition to his two games on this list there’s also his version of the Hobbit movies, his version of Pacific Rim 2, a third movie in his Hellboy franchise, and adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s At The Mountains of Madness, a Halo movie, and movies based on Peter Pan, The Wind in the Willows, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Disney’s Haunted Mansion theme park ride.

#1 I'm so glad I found this channel. Peter and Ben have been sorely missed from the other channel. #2 Perfect Simon Miller impression.

Love that cameo from Simon Miller at the end. It was nice.
  • That DOOM joke and reaction to it, and inSANE spelling, are Peter's redemption for not caring about FINAL FANTASY and not knowing how to pronounce Ivalice. I am a Peterphile

That was a real good list, and the jokes were great. Had many good laughs, thanks for brightening up my day!

Theres one game I was really looking forward to but never got released and that was Battlebots for PS2 and Gamecube. It got cancelled when Comedy Central cancelled the show (Which was a shame because looking at the footage for it, it looked fun). A prototype of the game does exist and was realeased online back in April 2022. Though buggy, its pretty much playable and pretty damn fun.
  • Lord of the rings was interesting because game informer magazine later said we were planning on a exclusive story on the upcoming game and at the last minute ea demanded the story be scrapped. And a day or two later they announced the game was cancelled. And then that Tom Clancy game mentioned here really was a game informer cover story that was a game that never was released.

Doomed to fail.... I think you failed. Doomed "4" failure, was right there in front of you

I never realized the DMA guy was the letters DMA. To busy playing the game to notice I guess.

When you realize Hideo Kojima is a big Shrek fan since he hired the score composer of the movie and the moustache man from the Puss in Boots to work on his games. Brilliant!
